Beaumonting

Beaumonting (verb): The act of consistently and habitually taking Mondays off from work, inspired by the historical figure Beaumont, in response to an intense fear of ridicule or mockery. Beaumonting is derived from the experiences of Beaumont, a renowned individual who endured relentless public ridicule throughout their life. This term characterizes the behavior of individuals who, driven by a deep-seated apprehension, opt to avoid the workplace on Mondays as a precautionary measure against potential humiliation or scorn from coworkers. The practice of Beaumonting reflects a persistent anxiety surrounding the workplace environment, leading to regular absences on the first day of the workweek as a defensive strategy against perceived ridicule.

beauhunting season

Da period of da year when gals can legally traipse da countryside in search of "dear" --- i.e., nice guys who'll cuddle up and be sweethearts to them.
Last I knew, beauhunting season was totally "open" (i.e., all year 'round), but Spring is one of da best times to practice it, since it's said dat "young men's thoughts naturally turn to love" in da months following their having been cooped up all Winter.
