This name originates from the leading clan of Bamileke tribe that migrated from Egypt to northern parts of Cameroon between the 11th and 14th centuries. The Bamileke people are very dynamic and have a great sense of entrepreneurship. Thus, they can be found in almost all regions of Cameroon, mainly as business owners.
