An advanced practice Registered Nurse who spends at least one year working in an Intensive Care Unit after graduation then does a 27-36 month residency learning every type of anesthesia. Once graduated from the advanced anesthesia training, a CRNA must pass a national accreditation exam . Nurse Anesthetists were the first medical specialty to practice anesthesia and studies have shown there to be no difference in patient outcomes between MD and CRNA anesthetics.

My femoral nerve block along with my popliteal block sure did help with my postoperative pain, I’m so glad my anesthetist put those in prior to my surgery!

Angstheist

A militant and/or unpleasant atheist who actively dedicates time in their life to ridiculing theists. Generally, they are marked by a lack of courtesy and deductive reasoning skills. Someone who becomes an atheist because something bad happened in their lives, so they immediately think that a higher power couldn't have possibly been so mean/ heartless/ evil, so they don't exist.

Angstheist

Someone who is an angsty atheist. Generally belittles religious people as being superstitious sheep and believes themself, and their god of science, intellectualism, randomness, and meaninglessness to be superior to the illogical superstitions of the confused masses of ignorant religious people.
