Advancement

Advancement is a cultural/philosophical condition condition in which a true genius (an "Advanced Individual") creates piece of art that only other Advanced Individuals are capable of appreciating. As a necessary corrolary, the Non-Advanced will perceive the artistric product as bad. That which is Advanced cannot, under any circumstances, be intended as irony. Advancement (and all derviative word forms) must always, always be capitalized. This is highly Advanced English.

Coined by cultural theorist Chuck Klosterman.
Lou Reed; Evan Dando; David Byrne's cover of Whitney Houston's "I Want to Dance With Somebody"; Boy Meets World.

The Key to Advancement is that Advanced artists neither (a) do what is expected of them; or (b) do the opposite of what is expected of them.

Chronic Day Advancement

Term used when your mind advances what day it thinks it is.
I went to church on Saturday so on Sunday I had chronic day advancement and really convinced myself it was Monday.

Mind Advancement

Mind Advancement is defined as the collective breakthrough across four levels: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. To achieve a breakthrough in each level of Advancement is to attain a deeply meaningful and desired outrageous goal that was previously believed to be unattainable. Combined, one is significantly transformed and propelled towards rapid, exponential, purposeful and conscience-driven success in life. His old mental model is thus rendered obsolete, left behind and he undergoes a personal evolution towards a new and functional version. Consequently, as his emotions, habits and results advance, his lifestyle is completely changed – all by his design.
Jane used to be burnt out, confused and overwhelmed by emotional burdens. Even though she was doing well financially, she felt empty inside. After experiencing Mind Advancement, she healed from within, put her emotional baggage down and gave her identity a complete overhaul. She was reborn into a person that was filled with gratitude, clarity and the confidence to succeed in life.

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
