Where people only participate on activism online instead of partaking in it directly, or in a way that will matter. Often Proxy Activism.

A blowhard who claims to strongly support or oppose a cause, but instead of donating their time, they spend it on social media calling out others for not doing more.
"Paul blathers on and on about gay rights, yet he's never been to a Pride Day event. What an armchair activist. "

A person who posts and reposts memes everyday on Facebook and Twitter hoping to get a rise out of people and change their political stances and/or religious views. These people rarley if never go outside of their homes and do any real activism such as collecting names for a petition, holding signs, occupying spaces to make statements, majoring in politics in college and actually proposing or changing laws. They usually are just bummed out with the way things are going in life because their lack of work ethic, self sacrifice, and overall poor life decisions have led them to feel as though someone else is to blame and the best way they can get back at them is to post a meme on Facebook.
Dude, everyday this meme activist posts another shitty meme thinking it'll lead to some real change in the world. I wonder what he does for a living? Is he contributing to anything at all in society?

Slang term that refers to highly liberal college students who will protest anything pro-left and anti-establishment at a drop of a hat. If you have a cause, they'll bitch about it to students just trying to get through the Quad to go to class.
Pro-choice, legalization of marijuana, global warming, Wal-mart, and the WTO are popular choices for their rants.

Activist Annies are so annoying that they have the power to make me dislike causes I actually support.

It means anyone who fights for equal opportunity for black people. Often associated with the civil rights movement and started in the 1860s. During reconstruction, these activists started work. Most black activists are peaceful people. Martin Luther King Jr was one. He was kickass. Unfortunate ly some people associate black activists with Jesse Jackson and his kind. They say that black activist means a black first, whitey blamer. It is a wrong notion. Most blacks in the US tolerate white people. Inter racial marriages and etiquette are shown towards white people. So do not say that black activist means a reverse racist. Very few of the black activists are vile folks.
Person 1: Yo, black activist are racists.
Person 2: No they're not. Most black activists want to live in equality with white people. Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for them all.

Self Righteous individual that thinks forwarding Facebook pics with captions constitutes a real effort to assist their chosen cause(s).
Your cousin, the Vegan, is a retard. He thinks he is changing people's minds when he forwards those animal pics, but he's really just a facebook activist. Please pass me some more delicious bacon.

An Urbandictionary editor who rejects a perfectly true and clever definition and forces someone like me to have to re-submit it over and over again, just because they don't agree with the opinion expressed in the definition.
At least 5 of my valid and correct definitions have been rejected by activist judges on Urbandictionary, a website where more than half the definitions are about ex-girlfriends, rival high schools, or made-up sex slang.
