He ravages and raids the coasts of the major nations of Shem, Stygia, and Kush. In Conan's Hyborian each country, corresponds to an equivalent country from ancient world history. Shem is Mesopotamia or Assyria. Stygia is ancient Egypt. Kush- the kingdom of Kush and Nubia. Conan sells his loot in the northern nation of Argos, at the port city of Messantia.
