A free game that is filled with a lot of kids but is a great alternative to Minecraft, it doesn't have survival mode but does have servers which you can play. Not that many kids to be honest, there are a lot of mature people on the site also. Age ranging from 10-25 (etc).

Check out this Minecraft clone I found, its called Classicube, its pretty underrated.
