Sacred Dog

A.K.A Holy Dog or Saintly Horse. In Philippine culture, the term "sacred dogs" (a literal translation of the Tagalog phrase Banal na Aso) refers to a religious hypocrite someone who maintains a pious, "holy" public image while acting cruel or selfish in private or outside religious teachings or places. This specific metaphor originated from the 1994 folk-punk song "Banal Na Aso, Santong Kabayo" by the band Yano, which served as a biting social commentary on the disconnect between religious performance and actual morality.

Rubber Sadness
