used often in negative connotation or in the course of a state of shock and bewilidered.
Often used by skateboarders and their wannabes in the California, Northern U.S. regions, and Canadians.

It was once used in the show Degrassi, as well.

Dude, your wheels on your board are hella bad; get them fixed!

Hella Firme

(Pronounced hell-uh fear-may.) *Firme is Spanish for firm.* Hella Firme is a code name for someone who is good looking that you and one of your friends are low key crushing on. In order for you both to talk about him/her without anyone else knowing you call them "Hella Firme" instead of their actual name. {Hella Firme can be abbreviated to HF when talking about that person while texting.}
