Queer

1. Originally defined as weird, odd, or unusual. Dated back around the 19th century.
2. A slur used for homosexuals, male or female. Baby Boomers and Gen Xers have been bashed with this slur in the 1960s-1970s. Still used as a derogatory term today.
3. An identity used by the LGBT community; some have reclaimed this word. That's what the Q stands for, but I prefer it used as Questioning.

Even though I'm young, I believe it is used as an offensive word; I'm not weird, nor am I a slur for homosexual.

1.) The Individual has some queer mannerisms.

2.) arsehole: That guy is a qu**r
3.) I identify as queer; I don't identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, so I'll use the word queer.

Pick-me Queer

A person in the queer community who is queer but that is it. They are lesbian/gay/bi and use that for attention, having no personality whatsoever.

Friend A: So, you don't like people who are obnoxiously gay?? They are just expressing themselves and embracing their identity!

Friend B:No, that's not it! Love who you want to love, then move on! No one cares! Just stop being a Pick-me Queer!

Queer is an umbrella word for lgbt+ and it’s mostly used incase a person does not know their sexuality.
