Get the like a tracked ratmug. Hopefully men's track doesn't go home discouraged, they're just starting out and a lot of great things will happen for them if they don't give up. They didn't have an abudance of veterans to draw from their experience or leadership, so hopefully they don't let Carl Lewis talking to them like he was their father get to them.
The media might like to point out their mistakes, but the men's track team could have let the sting of defeat keep them from getting the gold medal today, and they didn't do that. They fought all the way through to the end, until the Olympics were over. Win or lose, they didn't give up on themselves.

Get the whore tracksmug. Generally used by military personnel to convey that they already understood something that was said to them.
Useful when you want to tell someone who's a higher rank than you that you already knew what they just told you, and you're kind of pissed that they thought you didn't already know, but the ridiculous stipulation of having to answer to a grown man who's only been in a year or two longer than you dictates that you can't have an opinion of your own, much less tell this man to piss off.
Disclaimer: is also used casually/non-aggressively, but its main appeal is that you can get away with being belligerent.
