Nerd-Hot

Adj. A person (usually female) who is not necessarily hot in the traditional sense of the word. This person may be considered somewhat universally attractive, but they have certain aspects of their personality, style of dress, and/or appearance that make them particularly appealing to nerds (i.e. a woman who likes comic books or roleplaying games, wears glasses and t-shirts depicting nerd subject matter, plays characters in nerdy films and TV shows, and/or who may be outside more popular social circles, for example). Note that a person who is nerd-hot need not necessarily be a nerd themselves.

Dude, do you think Tina Fey and Felicia Day are hot?

Nah, they're nerd-hot.

1) A collective noun for nerds.

2)That group of nerds at any university responsible for nerd tagging or nerdish graffiti.

1) The conference on mathematical methods in physics was a veritable posse of nerds.

2) The Nerd posse pwned the uni toilets. It was almost impossible to take a crap without encountering a formula or two.

Nerd

A person who knows so much, they're just awesome. Often used as an insult. Should this happen to you, simply reply with "Thank you for acknowledging my superior intelligence!"

Also, a really tasty and colourful Wonka candy.
Nerds and geeks are often confused. Geeks are like wannabe nerds: They lack the knowledge and social skills of nerds.

Train Guard: Well if you tried to board a plane with no ticket, they wouldn't let you on would they?

Father: Well, yes they would because they'd have your e-ticket and passport information.

Train Guard: =O

A person having an unhealthy obsession with fiction or fantasy related media and entertainment.

A classic trademark of nerd behavior is an unthinking bias (or lack of objectivity) in regard to topics of their interest, I.E., "Star Wars is Harrison Ford's best film".

A syndrome that causes the person with it to become incredibly intelligent after putting on a pair of glasses.
