Due to the gross overuse of the colloquialism 'lol', rl lol has been developed. rl lol, means real life lol.
i.e When you ACTUALLY LOL.

Extract from conversation:

Fran-tic-tic-tic: I'd like give them a spoon
Fran-tic-tic-tic: and tell them to clean themselves out
Fran-tic-tic-tic: then lube it.

Lol is an abreviation of "Laughing out loud".

Although many people commonly mistake it as "Lots of love". This can be quite confusing.

Laugh out Loud:

Person 1 - "My cat ran into the wall the other day"
Person 2 - "Lol"
Person 1 - "Lol"

Lots of love:

Child - "Im at school mum/mom"
Mother - " Ok have fun! Lol"

Lots of love which is mistakenly thought to be laugh out loud.

Person 1 - "My dog was put down today :("
Person 2 - "Aww lol :("
Person 1 - "WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!"
