Cancel Culture

It's just another word for "call out culture".
When a famous person says something controversial they will receive a massive amount of criticism. That will be seen as a direct attack and the famous person will never own to their mistake and just cry they're being cancelled.
Most of the time no one is really cancelled for real.

Sometimes someone will be investigated and might lose movie deals because productions don't want bad press. That has always happened and has never been cancel culture.
Ironically, the people who cry cancel culture will gain popularity, so in a sense it has become a way of skirting responsibilities and deflect the attention from the actual horrible things they said.
Jenny: Did you hear they cancelled JKR??? Those awful gays
Kim: You mean J K Rowling? The one who made history writing HP? That's the best example of a victim of cancel culture you could think of?

Cancel Culture

A popular trend among social media users allowing activists to publicly shame, or "cancel", media influencers for previous inflammatory posts, sexual allegations, and discriminatory behavior. Cancel culture surfaced due to the similar public shaming trend, the #MeToo movement, where women call out sexual predators. As a result of the cancellation, the individual may lose their job, their status on social media, and their reputation. Canceled people are mainly ostracized even to the point of social media users boycotting products or shows related to the individual.
Brock Turner is Cancel Culture's newest player and has lost his reputation after he was accused of raping an intoxicated woman.

modern rap culture

The use of cartoons from Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network and somehow associated with rap. The use of the n word, slang and auto tune. And completely being a poser by wearing shirts of famous rock and metal artist they never listen too. They also sample some of the worst media. They do too many drugs and like modern trashy sports cars. They often barely use any instruments only a computer and dj who is horrible. They often also sample voicemails from there angry ex girlfriend. There music videos are horrible also. They are mostly rappers trying to be gangster. They also roast many popular American things. They also roast southern Americans by having rap music videos on farms and dressing up as cowboys. They often preform at rolling loud, Coachella, etc. artist include many you probably already know of
I hate todays modern rap culture. Fred durst, Eminem, snoop dogg, and post Malone I only have respect for because post likes and respects metal, Fred durst still sounds like he’s from 1999, Eminem still is lyrically innovative, and snoop dogg’s still crazy high as usual

Pop Culturally Intimidated

When you feel intimidated and irked either due to a lack of knowledge in trendy pop cultural/meme references, or from the fact that you probably have no interest in them. Usually happens when you're out with a new group of peers, and they be saying some memey phrase or sharing some pop cultural fad and you have no idea what it is or what it means (nor do you care). Likewise, this is also very commonly experienced on the internet, most notably in the YouTube comment section.
1) Jimmy felt very pop culturally intimidated by his girlfriend once he found out that she knew more pop cultural references than him.

2) Matt joined his new group of female peers to work on a course-related project. While he didn't have trouble socializing with them, he felt extremely pop-culturally intimidated by the odd memey phrases that their peers were tossing around and giggling about. Then, they started sharing pictures of Korean guys and went on talking about their favorite kpop star. "Stop. Please...", he wished to tell them.
