Cheers

(Used primarily in the UK) A word that has found it's way across the pond for pretentious hipsters and smarmy, haughty, douche-bags alike to abuse in order to sound more cultured or otherwise interesting.

cheers big ears

An Australianism associated with drinking: When you're about to take a drink, you say "cheers big ears". There are two usual responses: "same goes big nose," or "up your nose with a rubber hose."
(At the pub after raising your glass)

You - "Cheers big ears"

Me - "same goes big nose"

(Followed by a wink and a big long quenching gulp of your drink)

The use or threatened use of positivity or good deeds by a person or an organized group with the intention of uplifting societies, often for ideological or political reasons.
The recent release of a nice maple syrup scent throughout Manhattan could be an act of cheerism meant to affect the mayoral race.

a stock-standard aussie term used for saying thanks and appreciating some-one else's gesture.

it can also be used if something good is about to happen or has happened.
barmen: 'here's ya beer'
customer: 'cheers'

or

(a big wave is rolling in)
'cheers.. this one's gonna be a ripper'

Someone who desires to originate from the English county of Essex will often attempt to alter their vocabulary to seemingly fit in with real Essex inhabitants. This is a particularly common and humourous example. Meaning 'thats wonderful friend, thank you very much'
Tracey: 'Alright mate? Shall i pick ya up a bottle of lambrini down the co-op?'
Laura: 'Ace bird, cheers!'
