Staycation

Staying at home during your vacation instead of traveling to a pleasure destination. This can be caused by high gas prices, or just a shortage of money.

We wanted to take the kids to Niagara Falls, but with gas over $4 a gallon, we instead opted for a staycation.

A meme that expresses dismay or mockery of buzzwords and other portmanteaus, often created by the media or marketers, that make people groan. Staycation, being one of the most successful buzzwords, has become the poster child for all buzzwords.

P1: Hey Bob, check out my new Quadroid handset.
P2: *groan* I need a staycation.

1)a state of hunger

3)A place people go where they will either get food for their starvation, or will be killed because there is no food to give them.
