Standardista

The term standardista has become the general nomenclature for describing a web developer/designer who is actively involved in the creation, adoption, and/or promotion of web standards.

This term also can be applied in a derogatory fashion to those who follow standards without understanding why they are standards.

Ted considers himself to be a standardista and seems to think it is normal to pay for sex.

Jing Standard

Community Standards

Often arbitrary and nonsensical overbearing "rules" created and constantly changed by basement dwellers to take revenge on the world for always getting picked last at sports or the prom. Added to and made more oppressive weekly, or whenever the moderators run out of hot pockets.

Standard Issue Non-Conformist

I'm sure you already know what this term means, maybe even from experience. If not, it is the Safety Pinned Patches on Overwhelmingly Dark Clothing look, also called emo or goth, but usually lacks originality. This doesn't make a person bad or stupid, but their energy would be better spent distinguishing themselves through some remarkable contribution rather than just violating popular conventions with an attitude.

Schumacher Standard

The Schumacher Standard, the principle which states that no female shall be promptly tapped if she is not believed to be at least a five on the ten-point scale, such that four shalt thou not tap neither thou tap 3 unless thou intend on proceeding to five by whatever prospective motive or means.
