Dr. Wily obviously couldn’t build anything so cool, at least not until the creation of Zero, so how DID Wily build Shadowman? He didn’t. Over 20,000 years before Mega Man 3 takes place, Shadowman was part of an extraterrestrial line of robots called the Kuiper Droids, given orders from Terra from Mega Man V for the Gameboy. All of the Kuiper Droids were destroyed, except Shadowman, who landed safely on Earth and went offline, leading to Wily’s discovery and modification of him over 20,000 years later.
