polyamorous

Polyamorous is an adjective used to describe a broad non-monogamous practice. Monogamy is the practice of committing your heart to one person exclusivly. Non-monogamy is everything else including slutting around, polyfuckery, cheating, dating, polygamy to name but a few of the practically infinite ways you can be non-monogamous. What sets polyamory apart are three essential ingredients; romantic/sexual love, commitment and transparency.

To practice polyamory, all three ingredients must be present. Loving your partner/s with your whole heart, being committed to the ideals of loving them and being open and honest with them in at least relation to any other loves, sexual and romantic relationships you are in, and being respectful of each other and your respective relationships.

The practice emphasises ethical relationships, self-control and taking personal responsibility for your actions, as opposed to trying to deceive, control or blame others.

People like to claim they are polyamorous as an excuse to be dishonest, non-committed, selfish assholes in their relationships, this is not polyamory this is polyfuckery.

After achieving the rank of "Newbie", "Junior", and then "Firble" I am now ranked "Polygon" at Playstation.com.

Polygamy

Polygamy is simply the accumulation of multiple spouses. Without a marriage recognised by society or law, a relationship created with multiple partners is called Polyamory.

It is unlawful in many countries to marry more than one spouse. Polygamy, as this is termed causes economic conditions which is harder for governments to control.

PolyDating

Dating activity with more than one person, or while being "married" to another. PolyDating is a subset of PolyAmory. A primary component of this is that all parties are aware of all other parties. This is distinct from "Cheating" as that activity requires deception and concealment of other relationships.

Jeff and Sally both have partners outside their relationship with the full knowledge and consent of their "primary" partner. PolyDating can occur without any "primary" relationship, as in the case of "not going steady" or "free to see other people."
