A gender identity under the umbrella term
transgender, it itself being an umbrella term for any identity that does not
fit into the gender binary of
men and women.
Non-binary individuals are not limited to any specific sex or birth assigned gender, and can present in many ways, masculine, feminine, or, most commonly, androgynous.
While most non-binary individuals use they/them pronouns, it ultimately comes down to the specific person and what they feel most comfortable. The same goes for gendered terms, most preferring to be referred to with more neutral terms.
Currently unknown how
gay it is to date a non-binary person, answers appear to vary.
