Jackie Greene is often compared to Bob Dylan due to his folk style songs, however with the release of "American Myth" he dispelled those pesky comparisons that clouded his brilliance. The release of "American Myth" allowed him to be his own musician, a musician whom far surpasses the hiphop of today's generation.

It's a word used by Elphaba, the Wicked witch of the West, in one of the best Broadway musicals ever called Wicked. Elphaba was born green and she hopes that one day when she meets the famous Wizard of Oz, he will do her a favor and ''degreenify'' her, so she would have a normal-colored skin and people wouldn't judge her. She specifically sang it in a song ''The Wizard and I''
