Ethnic day

An event hosted by the College/Universities in India to acknowledge the various cultures that exist in India.

Students from different cultural backgrounds attend this day wearing their traditional attire, participate in singing- dancing and click pictures with friends with a DSLR for the purposes of uploading it to Instagram and Snapchat.

In some parts and Colleges students also perform ethnic cleansing as a sign of protest against immigrants from other states. Moshpits and crowd gather dancing to crazy EDM and metal music. Although rare.

Originating from the stereotype of 1980s and 1990s sitcoms where a neighbor of another ethnicity would behave in such a manner.
