Mostly thought to be made up by the words bro + pony, It's also known as the 2 first letters of a 4chan imageboard. since the mlp fandom really came because of the random imageboard (/b/) on 4chan it's known the be the b, the r from the "random" imageboard and pony. taking one letter out and it makes b,r,ony. a.k.a brony

A subculture revolving the viewing and enjoyment of the show My Little Pony. Most "bronies" are incredibly awkward socially and have little or no experience in relationships outside of his basement and HuniePop. Bronys are often considered to be a step below being gay and a step above pedophilia. Despite the association with furries, bronies are not furries, here is one distinct difference. Furries fuck barnyard animals and they fuck little girls.

It is the plural form of 'Brony'
