academically challenged

The 'nice' word for stupid. often told to people who are in fact complete idiots in order to avoid offending them. sometimes has the exact opposite effect, as people generally do not like it when people use euphemisms to avoid offense.

i told that idiot from work he was academically challenged. it had the opposite effect of what i had intended, and it just pissed him off.

pepsi challenge

The Pepsi Challenge has been an ongoing marketing promotion run by PepsiCo for the last decade. The challenge is designed to be a direct response to critics who allege that Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola are identical drinks, with no meaningful differences. The challenge takes the form of a taste test. At malls, shopping centers and other public locations, a Pepsi representative sets up a table with two blank cups, one containing Pepsi and one with Coke. Shoppers are encouraged to taste both colas, and correctly identify which is Pepsi and which is Coke. If they can correctly identify the two, they win a prize. The implication is that Pepsi tastes better than Coke, and thus its distinct flavor can be easily identified in a side-by-side challenge.

"Excuse me sir, would you like to try the 'Pepsi Challenge'?"
"sure, why not....hey, what the fuck? These taste exactly the same!"

Socially challenged

Someone who doesn't talk much. People usually tend to not even notice them when in a conversation with multiple people. These socially challenged ones don't say a word, but when they do, they're fricking hilarious!

Dude 1: So I was waiting for the bus and all of a sudden a bird swoops down and into my hair.
Dude 2: lol, did it get stuck?
Dude 1: No, it attacked my hair then flew off.
Socially challenged person:...
Dude 1: So, did anything interesting happen to you?
Dude 2: Nah, just the usual.
Socially challenged person: PUDDING!
Dudes 1 and 2: OMFG WHERE DID U COME FROM?!
Socially challenged person: I was here the whole time.
Dudes 1 and 2: HAHA, well whatever you said was frickin' hilarious!

If person is unintellegent enough he'll be confused and angered.

Derogatory for someone who dates and/or marries a man who was in a Catholic seminary on their way to becoming a priest. Frowned upon because so few are becoming priests these days that the church doesn't want to lose any.
