A sniper does not necessarily mean a gun itself. A sniper is basically a highly trained marksman. The proper word for the gun is a sniper rifle. Which is a very powerful rifle with a scope designed for snipers.

Noob: I'm going to buy that sniper. (he's gonna buy the person)

One who snipes with uncanny talent. Whether it be with bullets or sharpness of their eye, they are a step above the rest. With just a mere glance they can see the subtlest of details or shoot the hardest targets.

Conversation Sniper

Someone who, with one well timed, well aimed remark (shot) has the ability to disable and/or terminate a conversation.

Note: Not to be confused with Conversation Bomber.

Guy 1: Dude, that chick is bangin'!
Guy 2: I'd do things to her that would make a hooker think twice.
Conversation Sniper: She's not bad, but I think I would want to talk to her for a bit before hand just so I know I won't be stuck with some weird girl for the rest of the night.

That one guy/girl who you barely know (maybe you had one class with them, in middle school, and you don't remember them ever saying anything to you, and you only ever heard them speak...once) you accepted a friends request from them and then they randomly comment on an update that you post on your facebook even though you never actually talk to them.
