Get the Megan mug.Megaraptor (Novas 1998) is a genus of carnivorous theropod from the late cretacoues of Argentina in South America. It was 26 ft long according to paul 2010. It is the type genus of Megaraptoridae family within the Megaraptora clade. This clade is going through a taxonomic confussion with some saying they are Allosauroids and with others saying they are either Tyrannosauroids or at least very basal Coelurosauria. Despite these taxonomic confusions Megaraptor is clearly not a raptor (as initally thought before its naming and description where they found its massive claws belonged to the hands not the feet), this has not stopped people from naming there many bullshit items are named Megaraptor just to look cool, because its velociraptor but bigger, right?
