Background Crush

Noun. A lowkey crush that's been consistent for years. You might be in other relationships or have overlying crushes on others but still maintain the background crush. You know you will never date your background crush but a voice in your head will always say "maybe." Usually some connection to childhood. You can marry a guy but still be like "I wonder how Dennis is doing".

"Wow, you and Dennis are so flirty. You should totally hook up with him!" "No, no, you can't just hook up with background crush. Imagine the emotional baggage"

Urban crush

An Urban crush is pre-teens writing long love notes on Urban Dictionary to people their hormones are telling them to screw. Their long rambling "definitions" add nothing to the greater lexicon, and clutter up the project. An urban crush post always describes "the most beautiful girl" or "the smartest boy". See Ian or Jessica.

Me: Seriously why are all these stupid bullshit love letters on Urban Dictionary? I don't know who Liam is, I don't give a fuck, and I certainly don't care if you're able to fuck your Urban crush or not. Fuck off.
