When a product breaks prematurely either because it was built very cheaply or with an intentional design flaw causing it to have a short life. Can occur between instantly and 24 months. Applies to products that used to last decades. Planned obsolescence taken to an extreme. Very good, maybe even essential for capitalism, but terrible for penny pinching consumers.

My blender just China cycled. Time to throw in the garbage and buy another one. Yay capitalism!
