1. Classical music is a type of music that goes from the 1500s (Thomas Tallis) to the 1900s (John Rutter). It includes the Rennaisance Period, the Baroque Period, the Classical Period, the Romantic Period, and the Modern Period.
2. No one seems to understand the difference between the classical PERIOD and classical MUSIC! Music that includes an orchestra, a choral, solo instruments, or opera is CLASSICAL music, it's just no necessarily the classical PERIOD of music!

Notable composers include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and many more. Although music from this era has endured considerable bias in today's modern world, with many idiots saying it's "not cool", I see no reason at all to propagate reverse discrimination and immediately start bashing rap for "having no emotion" and stating that classical music is the only "real" music. Shit like that is only furthering the image of classical music fans as closed-minded elitist snobs who refuse to try anything else. I happen to enjoy both rap AND classical music as well as many other genres, and I can tell you that if you look beyond no-talent asswipes like Soulja Boy, rap is a very enjoyable listening experience that deserves respect like any other genre. As for having "no emotion" - listen to Mockingbird by Eminem, or Dear Mama by Tupac, and then try telling me that rap is all meaningless garbage about bitches and bling. Rap can be poetry... or it can be the meaningless shit that is played on our radio stations all day long, the crap that will be forgotten in a few years to make way for the newest fad. If you're a true fan of music, you won't be a closed-minded fucktard like the person who wrote the first definition. The classical music we hear today is still remembered and loved because it was the best of the best - do you honestly think that there weren’t no-talent idiots back then as well? There were ALWAYS people like that, but we don't hear about them because they were all executed by the king as soon he got bored of his latest fad. It's the same thing with today’s music. In a few centuries or so, assuming humans haven’t died out by then, the artists that will be remembered and studied are the Eminems and Tupacs, the Pink Floyds and the Led Zeppelins - all the greats will be remembered and studied, alongside composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. In three hundred years, no one will have heard of Soulja Shit or 50 Cent. So stop being assholes about rap, because you are only forcing a bad reputation upon the fans that actually happen to have more than half a brain.

Get the classical sex mug.The most technically demanding genre of music in the world. Classical music focuses primarily on perfection. For listeners willing to look past cliche lyrics and generic beats found in about 80% of the music on MTV or the radio today.
The user complaining about how "Classical is boring. When is the last time you saw classical music on MTV or at no.1 in the charts?" is obviously being sarcasic. Because if he/she is not, then they are misguided. Just because it's popular and people are willing to throw away their money for it, doesn't make it good. Let's make a few comparisons between rap and classical, since thats where this debate is originating from:
1. Classical music has withstood the test of time. Rap has only originated in the past 20 years, and already many people don't know 70%+ rap bands around before todays "artists" (this appears to be the case with you, too). Classical has been around for hundreds of years, and you can still go to your local music store and pick up a classical based album.
2. In your point "Emotional music comes from the heart, not from fucking black dots written on a paper with lines.", don't you think that the people who put those same black dots you're complaining about on that paper where "coming from the heart"? when they wrote it?
3. If you had any knowledge of music or music theory, you would know that the artists you meantioned all use beats that a four year old uses to play "music". Rhyming and bitching are not hard to do, using complex harmonization, sequencing, and phrasing is.
4. You're a moron, joke or not. You don't know how to use proper grammer, puntuation, or paragraphs for that matter. You also talk like a pre-pubesent 12 year old desperatly trying to "fit in with the scene" in your town or neighborhood.

Fortunatly there's still hope for people like them. When I was young I incorrectly believed rap to be the best form of music and when I heard classical music I shoved my headphones in and turned up the volume. I'm lucky this didn't result in permanent hearing damage so now I can listen to real music. All this goes to show that...
1. I've listened to both rap and classical so I'm qualified to say that classical is more enjoyable
2. You don't need to be an old person to listen to classical music since last time I checked 15 wasn't old
and...
3. Rap becomes old real fast and has no lasting value, which is why I sought out different types of music (there's only so much bitching about hoes, money, and guns that you can take and classical isn't the only type of music I listen to)
