Pillowhammer

Noun. The gentle but devastating blow that hits your central nervous system courtesy of certain opiates. The pillowhammer lays you out and you stay down, because it's pretty relaxing down there.

A: "Hey did you ever notice how ...."

B: "Planning on finishing that sentence?"

A: "...Huh? Oh, sorry, pillowhammer just kicked in."

Pillow Minting

The practice of granting special privileges or bonuses only to high ranking members of an organization by another high ranking official(s). This is done at the exclusion and ultimately at the expense of non ranking members. The term is obviously derived from complimentary mints placed on the pillows at upscale hotels for "honored" guests. These mints come from the aprons of the low-paid hotel employees.

"Did you see the news? The school board just pink-slipped over 200 teachers because of the economy. Then they turn around and gave the administrators a 15 percent pay raise! Talk about pillow minting!"

Pillowgeddon

The utter destruction of a down pillow or pillows in a confined space, or the evidence thereof. Some pillow fights can result in pillowgeddon, but not all pillowgeddons are the result of a pillow fight.

I placed a beloved goose down bolster pillow handmade for my wife by her long dead aunt in the dryer. When I opened the dryer door after multiple drying cycles I was witness to pillowgeddon.

Being hassled by one manager when you were actually having a dispute with another manager. For this term to apply, the managers must be sleeping together.

I had an argument with Sally yesterday and this morning Bob called me into his office. They pillow teamed me.
