A Polish saying which explains why you walk twice as much going the same distance back from the bar than to the bar.

The staggering S pattern across the street is akin to chasing a snake, which slithers left and right.

"Woytek took 45 minutes coming home yesterday."
"What? But he lives down the road!"
"Yes, but he was chasing the snake."
