The phrase was used, but became popular in Dr Dre's first solo album The Chronic (1993). In which there was a song entitled "Deez Nutz" was featured. In which the intro features Dre's half brother Warren G tell a Deez Nutz joke. Also "Got Eem" comes from the same album on the track "F*ck Wit Dre Day (And Everybody Is Celebrating". Now the world knows the truth.
