An idiosyncratic traditional trinket of the American people which they receive at birth and are allowed to handle to its full potential once they turn 21. Americans are very fond of their freedoms but will gladly demonstrate them to you if you ask nicely.

Tourist: O herrow, sar, Imma tuwist , wud ju main to sho mi yu fouidumz?
American: Haha, sure pal. Here you go, watch and be amazed! (takes out his freedoms and shows them)
Tourist: OOooh!!!

Peter: Hey John, why you lookin' so down all day?
John: Man..I forgot where I put my freedoms, now I can't find them anywhere..
Peter: ...even the..?
John: Yes, even the gun locker

The greatest illusion in human history. no matter how free you think you are, there's always someone holding your leash. be it your parents, teachers, professors, your boss, the government, your CO. someone will always be holding your leash and will reign you back in if you so much as dare to think that you are even remotely free. as long as you are alive and needing, you are not free.
