Election Campaign signs that litter the front lawns and street medians, especially in November. Most annoying when multiple signs for the same person occupy the same few feet of grass.
Crook for Congress! Crook for Congress! Vote Crook!... ugh, look at all those signs: serious case of Yard Spam. I'm not going to vote for him now out of spite.

A Tampa Florida Scenester bar hag. Usually over the hill but unwilling to accept that pleather doesn’t go with stretch marks. Also see, Leena and Laura
Yo, you should have seen the yard rat hanging out at the bar last night! Nah man, I stay away from Ybor.

Noun: a boat in the yard. Not just a boat, but a bot that has no business anywhere, but the yard. A boat that is most definitely not seaworthy.
I took a picture a yard boat in the desert when we went camping.
Have you heard of the yard boat hunter looking for Noah’s arc?

The term yard sale is term that originated from snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding. The term is used to describe a massive wipeout in which the skier or snowboarder loses some articles of their clothing or even their poles, skis, or board. It is called a yard sale because after the wipeout, all the person’s clothing are laid out in the snow like they are on display in a yard sale.
