Damping Factor

Damping factor
The ability of an amplifier to control the movement of a subwoofer — the higher the damping factor, the greater the accuracy. Damping factor is calculated by dividing the subwoofer impedance by the output impedance of the amplifier. An amplifier's damping factor will decrease as the sub's impedance decreases — that's why an amp running at 4 ohms will provide tighter bass than at 2 ohms. This spec is not always given for all amplifiers.

A measure of an establishments "Pretentious Hippie/Hipster Factor."

Their coffee is damn good but I'm not going back, the PH factor is off the scale.

Pretending to be sick /injured right before your shift. Just because it’s hard to prove, they actually are.

This person keeps pretending to be sick right before work. It’s the Young factor all over again.

Toth factor

The loss of real estate value caused by a bad, sloppy or lazy neighbor, as compared to comparable homes in the neighborhood that don't abut the bad neighbor. The difference in resale value between a home with good neighbors and a similar one with a bad neighbor.

My nasty neighbors next door kept bothering prospective buyers during showings, so I ended up selling for 20% less than the appraised value. The toth factor cost me thousands!

when the person you are dating and sleeping with has become so distasteful to you, that you can't stand the thought of being with them sexually.

I had gotten to the point of skeeve factor with my ex-boyfriend John, and couldn't stand the thought of him touching me or the idea of ever sleeping with him again.
