Nerb: the act of adding more tension to a taut rope, by pulling perpendicular to the rope

Noun: the rope which one bowstrings

a stunt coordinator asked me to bowstring the line coming out of the performer flying hoist

(and I knew exactly what to do even though I hadn’t heard the term before.)

usually used to adjust, in fine degrees, a performers body position, height, etc. when flying, where it is only a fine adjustment or reaction, rather than a new mark that would involve a rope mark change. A quick and easy way to make changes without rerigging a set mark.

A contraction of the phrase "about to". used conversationally to openly declare an intention to perform or belief in the imminent occurrence of whatever follows the statement or whatever the implied object of the statement is. Similar in usage to "finna", but typically more passive in nature.

Dude #1: "Man, look at all those dark clouds".
Dude #2: "Shit bowsta rain up in this piece".
