a word used only by computer nerds, which usually means a new player or someone that is disruptive. this word was invented by nerds and is used by nerds. By using this word in a game or in a real life conversation you are showing that you are a nerd and that you get online to a game at least 5 times a week.
in a game...
bob: hey where is X?
billy: omg u noob its over there
bob: well at least i dont use nerd language

AS noob is a person that purposfuly degrades and/or ruins the experience of a game and/or life in general for other people. This can happen through lack of common sense, name calling, betrayal, hacking, breaking rules, encouraging others to break rules or just all around being not a nice person.
Do NOT, DO NOT confuse this with newb, someone that is new. Sometimes noobs can be newbs, sometimes someone can be a newb but not a noob and extreme cases a noob can be some1 that is not a newb.

As this pretains to gaming: Using cheat codes to beat a game the first time. That makes you a noob.
As it pretains to life in general: Flushing the toilet while someone is taking a shower is noobish

Though some of you may think the words "noob" and "newb" means the same thing, it is not; a noob needs not to be new to a game, he just refuses to learn or take advice and is usually talking leetspeak, a noob is also known to flame forums though here he is called a troll.
Newbs for that matter are always newcomers they generally have the dignity to stay polite, otherwise theyre considered noobs, generally they take all advice in consideration as to learn as much as they can.
DO NOT confuse the terms noob/newb for geeks, people you just might be able to beat, spammers and gankers.

He acted very noobish by flaming the poor player.
