The act of examining both side of a chip (e.g. potato chip, tortilla chip, etc) prior to eating to determine which side has more flavor powder. That side is then placed face down on the tongue to achieve optimum flavor enjoyment.

Aren’t you going to check the chip? You can’t just eat them with reckless abandon like some sort of animal.
