1. A reasonably entertaining epithet used in the Simpsons to describe the french.
2. Used by a plagiarist, a bore, an asshat, a neoconservative, a douchebag and/or a dickwad, as a weak attempt to appear smart; and an unoriginal way to describe the french.

A derogatory term used to refer to an American Republican who originally supported the war in Iraq but now is silent in the face of growing resistance to the war.
In 2003 Republicans and conservatives bashed the French for not supporting war against Iraq by calling them "Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys".
Now that the Democrats control Congress, the same people offer only tepid resistance against growing calls for pulling American soldiers out of Iraq.
Example of usage:
Why are there no street protests by Republicans supporting the war? Is it because Republicans are just a bunch of cheeseburger eating surrender monkeys?
Now that the Democrats control Congress, the same people offer only tepid resistance against growing calls for pulling American soldiers out of Iraq.

A perjorative term for any French citizen. Only used by idiots who couldn't find France on a labelled world map.
Uh, yeah, uh, Hitler would be, like, dead now if the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys had stood up to him in World War, uh, one...no, wait, that was two...yeah...oh, wait...he is dead now? Oh. Um.
