Cheerleading.

ok, there is a huge debate going around with people who aren't cheerleaders and sit around on their lazy butts thinking up horrible stereotypical crap about cheerleaders. Honestly, you say you aren't jealous of cheerleaders, and that they suck or whatever sorta stuff you think up, but the truth is you are jealous, and you know you know you cant be a cheerleader(:

ok, so I am a cheerleader. On my squad, we have practice four days a week from 3-5 o'clock, gymnastics one night a week for 2 and a half hours. and condtitioning on Saturdays, where we run no less than 2 miles, do suicides, push-ups, crunches, sit-ups, leg lifts, and all the other sorta stuff like that. And, along with that, we are role models, because if a cheerleader does ANYTHING remotely questionable, EVERYONE at school is hating. But of course the whole football, baseball, basketball team can go out and get wasted, stoned and laid every single weekend and no one says a word. And we also get severe conditioning punishment if we have a C or D, and we get kicked off the squad with an F. But, on the football/baseball/basketball/etc. team, guys have gone to rehab, alternative school, or the dee home, and still participate in the sport.

yea, so go try to do a full, or even a backhandspring for that matter, if you are educated, classy, athletic, strong, determined, dedicated and sophisticated enough to even know what that is.

You will see how hard it is to be a cheerleader when you kill yourself trying to do the stuff we do.(:

you try to get at us cheerleaders, but honestly, we know we are better than you, so don't even bother, honey, because we can get any guy we please.

thank you, i hope you enjoyed my TRUTHFUL definition.

SUCK ITT!(:
stupid loser who wishes she was a cheerleader: stupid cheerleaders, they think cheerleading is a sport.

logically thinking, non-loser: what? you know you want to be a cheerleader because they are athletes, and they dont think they are stupid man-women who aren't considered lesbos and they can get any guy they please!(:

time out.
whats with all the people dissing cheer? (ONGZZ u fuggin WhOrE!!uno!!!1 FTw!!1)
now is someone tried out cheer, and legitimatly diddnt like it, thats totally fine.. but why do people have to diss something they dont even know about.
cheerleaders wear tight, sometimes skimpy clothes becasue it is dangerous to stunt an tumble with loose clothing. Also in all star cheer, judges need to see if you pinted your toes and whatnot. (whoever said gettting the judges "sexulay aroused" was the goal is dead wrong. you get points off of your routine is too "sexual" really.) for all the haters who want to pass judgement, fine. show me your standing full (keep your knees strait, kids) and you can pass all the jugement you want. waht most people on this page have described is school cheer (you know, cheering at football games and stuff..) or commonly known as yell leading. There are two types of cheer:
ALLSTAR CHEER.
-allstar cheer is divided into 6 age groups and 6 levels. your teams age group and thour teams level determines your division.
here are the age groups:
*tiny 5 and under
*mini 8 and under
*youth 11 and under
*junior 14 and under
*senior 18 and under
*open any age
here are the levels and the tumbling skills that accompany them: (keep in mind that there are stunts that accompany them too.)
level 1: cartwheels, roundoffs, rolls. the basics.
level 2: you can add back handsprings
level 3: you can add back tucks, punch fronts
level 4: you can add back pikes, layouts, and X-outs
level 5: you can twist (fulls) and add arabians.
level 6: open. pretty much anything. you see some really crazy stuff at competitions.

so there you have it.
say you play soccer. you wouldn't want me hating on YOUR sport, just becasue of the UNIFORMS, would you?!

search 'all star cheer' on youtube to see cheerleading at its finest.
douchebag: haha.. you fuggin slut! what a whore! you call cheerleading a sport!??! LAWLZ you should see me play hockey. *puts on 80 pounds of padding, so as to not get a boo-boo*

cheereladers: look at that d-bag. lets kick his ass!

cheerleading

an awesome SPORT, which includes stunts, memory skills, cute outfits, and flexibility. its not as easy as it looks. cheerleading takes practice, memorization, stretching, and stability. obviously the ones who say it isn't a sport haven't cheered. of course. ignorant asses.
me: cheerleading is amazing!
girl: i know! its tough work.
me: at least we get to wear cute outfits!!!
girl: yes. and its so much fun.

cheerleading

A competitive team sport involving lifting, jumping, tumbling, and dancing. Commonly mistaken for the shouting and jumping preformed on the sidelines of a football/basketball field/court(the girls who do this are considered an embarrassment to cheerleaders who actually organize their teams and preform at games as an actual team.). Cheerleaders rehearse and preform a two minute and thirty second routine where they display their skills of stunting, jumping, tumbling, motions, dancing, and execution.

Cheerleading

Cheer. A waste of your parent's time and money. All this is, are 20 girls running around doing stupid shit while they scream and hurt my ears. This sport requires no physical contact besides the people high fiving each other, playing chess requires more physical contact.
The only good thing about cheerleading is when it's during half time while we let the real athletes rest.
All sports have an actual score, cheer has judges that make up the score.
People say cheerleaders are strong, so then why does it take 15 girls to throw a chick who is 4'11 and 75 pounds into the air.
Sorry cheerleaders :)
"I do cheer and I am gay"

"Cheerleading is my favourite hobby, I love doing it during my free time"

"Everyone at school said they loved my half-time performance"

cheerleading

A SPORT that consists of lifting other girls in the air that sometimes weigh less than 100 pounds, but usually are heavier. Not only do we lift these girls in the air, keep time, dance, be flexible, tumble, and LOOK GOOD WHILE DOING IT. Also, I'd like to see any of you yell, loudly, while tumbling, smiling and holding others in the air. However, many cheerleaders take games, where they cheer for their school's team, and must stay positive no matter how bad this team is losing, as a joke. It's just something that they're "required" to do to compete in their high school competition. Otherwise, they just join a non-school competition (all-star) team.
I agree, jumping around like an idiot is not a sport. Lifting people in the air that most of the time are barely smaller than you, tumbling, dancing and yelling for at least 3 minutes is. Members of other sports occasionally participate in conditioning, and possibly even switch over, because cheerleading is a more challenging SPORT. Come to a competition before you judge us and say that this isn't a sport. At least in football, if you drop what you're supposed to be catching, all you'll get is shit from your coaches and teammates. In cheer, if we drop the PERSON we're supposed to be catching, we get shit from our coaches and teammates, not to mention that the girl could get seriously hurt and even DIE.
Not all cheerleaders are sluts, whores, or stupid. More girls who participate in other sports participate in these "less than wholesome" activities. Also, the stereotype that cheerleaders are mean to people of other "cliques" is completely wrong. Firstly, everyone isn't best friends on the cheer team. Has anyone noticed that people are naturally friends with others who participate in the same activities as them? But, you don't see that stereotype for girls who play volleyball or volunteer together. Also, we don't hate others who don't act like us. Yeah, we get sick of some of the people on our team too, but at least we support them and have to ability to make friends outside of our "clique", unlike others who are extremely negative about people who dress differently/take the time to dress nice/don't slit their wrists! In fact, there's even one t.v. show where a high school girl wanted to try out for her school's cheerleading squad. In this particular episode, the girl, who would have been previously classified as "emo" received much more criticism from her boyfriend and friends and was much more accepted by the girls who were helping her to learn more about cheer. We don't pick our friends by who they make fun of or what they wear.
Person 1: Cheerleading isn't a sport. All they do is wear short skirts and be slutty. Not to mention their stupid.
Person 2: Why don't you try to do a roundoff back-handspring back-tuck back-handspring full? Not to mention you used the wrong 'their in your sentence. It should be they're, as in the contraction of they and are. Who's stupid now?
