Bamboozled

Bamboozled means, quite literally, to be so struck by something it feels as though you have just been whacked by a bamboo in the middle.

As it is not a particularly enjoyable sensation, the connotation of the word is rather negative.

Unless you actually like being whacked by a bamboo stick.

When this clown showed up in the middle of my shower I was ever so bamboozled!
