One of those annoying douches who apologizes before saying something horribly offensive, ignorant, or demeaning to you. The apology is supposed to make it nicer somehow--or they're attempting to be PC (which is annoying as well).

These type of people also lose credibility on their beliefs since it conveys less confidence about their beliefs.

I'm sorry, but I think you're going to Hell for not being baptized.

I'd like to apologize in advance but I think you're a huge, worthless douchebag.

Cultural Apologist

A cultural apologist is a person that will utilize a culture that is not native to himself as a polite gesture to a foreigner. These people tend to think that foreigners like them better, as they will often use over needed accents on words such as: "Fajita", "Quesadilla", "menage a trois", "Hola", "Adios", and "Punta"

Mary is being a Cultural Apologist because she keeps pronouncing fajita as if she were from Mexico. Opposed to saying it the American way "Fah-GI-Tah".

I hate the way Ryan is being such a cultural apologist... he keeps saying Ms. Gonzales name as if he were from fricken Mexico. HE'S FROM CANADA!

Person A: I suffer from depression. I am in the middle of getting it treated.

Gatekeeper: you are not suffering from depression. You don't even have anything to be depressed about.

Person A: Are you gatekeeping depression?

Gatekeeper apologist: no they are not gatekeeping, You are just lying about your illness.

This is an individual who is mean, cruel and insulting until he or she breaks you. And then they say "I'm sorry." Once people begin to see the trend, they realize that the person isn't sincere about their apologies.
