beta beta time

This is the time when a group of all guys gather to drink, but are unable to attract any girls to drink with. Instead of calling the night a complete waste and going to sleep, one member will yell out "Beta Beta time!" in which case the other members begin drinking until they no longer remember the lack of females.

Person 1: "Damn, there's no frat parties tonight, and all the girls we know are at POP the DREAM this weekend. There's literally nothing to do"

Person 2: "Don't worry guys, I just picked up this Jamison bottle. It's BETA BETA TIME!"

1hr 30min later.....

Persons 1-8: "ZzzzzZzzzzZzzzzzzz" (sleeping)

5am Pacific Time

The emptiness and lull in activity experienced by extreme internet-junkies and gamers during the early morning hours after everyone else has either gone to bed or is getting up to go to work, so named because this is when servers typically shut down for scheduled maintenance. This term transcends the local lull in activity experienced by people who stay up all night partying, having the distinction that no matter where you are in the world or what schedule you keep, and no matter how many different time zones the people you interact with are in, if you are on an English-speaking website you're probably going to experience a noticeable drop in activity around those hours.

Oh man, where'd everybody go? Just a moment ago I was having amazing conversations in like 15 different browser tabs and now nobody is saying anything! Must be 5am Pacific Time.

International Business Standard Time (IBST)

International Standard Business Time is a "time zone" that does not change based on location. This time is the same throughout the planet. If it is 10:00 IBST in Moscow, it is also 10:00 IBST in Texas. IBST allows international companies to sync with each other. It is most commonly seen in the 24hr format- I.e. 00:00 is midnight. IBST is the same as GMT, but as earlier stated, is recognized globally and does not depend on location.

We've set a meeting with all the GMs via Skype conference for July 11th at 1300 International Business Standard Time (IBST).
