Portmanteau of Mushroom and Doom scrolling. Used to define the act of loosing all sense of time while doom scrolling on social media that it's now night time and you're now doom scrolling in the dark. Mushrooms like to grow in the dark. The "mush" part also implies your brain is being turned into mush while doom scrolling.

I caught myself mushdooming again.
