LIFTS situation

LIFTS stands for 'light is faster than sound'. It usually refers to a situation wherein someone looks like smart/intelligent/well-groomed person from afar, but when the said person is talked to, it comes to the realization that he/she is almost the polar opposite and you want to get away as soon and politely as possible.

During my coffiebreak, I approached a guy smartly dresses in stark white shirt and shine shoes and glasses. But when I started talking to him, he started to try and convince me that global warming was just a myth and 5G towers were causing the coronavirus. I tried to break away as quickly as I could, quoting that I left my laptop unlocked and had to go back urgently.
Man, that was a bad LIFTS situation.

Lydia stayed the night at a guys house (who's she's seeing) and wakes up to a random guy in the room on the DJ decks jamming out. "That's a Lydia situation!"

terrible situación

What happened when a dog went loose at the urbanización la Paz, where the Venezuelan authorities should put a fence at the border of the sidewalk to prevent kids from falling into the water. Johnny was called during the incident to see if he could solve things out. It remains unclear who let the dog out. The dang neighbors knew that the dog escaped, but they never did anything to solve the situation, but rather just called to inform about the missing dog.

-Did you let the dog out?
-No! I even closed the gates but realized it wasn't fully closed so I checked again.

A less-than-peaceable status caused by someone's quoting one or more seemingly-favorable-to-himself passages from Da Good Book dat are not actually written in there.

In da Red Green Show, Mike Hamar mentions about how one of his dads advised him to "do unto others before they do unto you" --- "He said that's in the Bible." Red Green sarcastically opines dat said statement is merely an example of an "addverse situation", in dat it would certainly not be in da "King James version, but maybe the JESSE James version!"
