A single piece of email.

Don: "Did you get that ethergramme from Tanya?" Claudia: "No! But I got seven ethergrammes from Pavel!" Don: "Seven ethergrammes? That's a lot of email!" (Usage note: it is neither correct nor elegant to say, "I got an email from Spencer today!" Just as a "letter" is a single piece of mail in the non-virtual world, an ethergramme is a single piece of email sent via a computer.)
