Fatman in the Bathtub with the Blues

In Southern States a euphemism for clitoris is "the man in the boat" referring to the lone passenger in the dory shaped vulva. Many newly weds are determined to sink him. " Fatman in the Bathtub with the Blues" is a reference to an engorged clitoris in need of attention.

I met a woman in a bar Friday night who told me she had a Fatman in the Bathtub with the Blues at home. She wanted to know if I was interested in cheering him up.

A phrase uttered as an expression of sympathy, probably originated from southern US states. Usually tacked onto the end of a sentence to "soften" the blow as this is often used to describe something unfortunate. Can also function as bless her heart for women.

Adam's wife left him for another man, bless his heart.
