When a hockey player scoops the puck up off the ice, from behind the goal net, lifts it over the top of the net and another player is able to slap the puck into the net for a goal scoring play.

Trevor Zegras made an alley-scoop to Sonny Milano who hit the puck out of mid-air, into the goal for a score.

In a game of cards such as Magic the Gathering or other when a player gives up and grabs (scoops up) all thier cards hastily leaving; this is known as "scooping."

I won rhe match because he had no hope so he scooped.
