It has its roots in the mountains of Poland and the rolling hills of Hungary and is inspired by the zumba-loving cultural phenomenon Alexandra Haracz. Its mission is, "Project Aleks: helping us to raise cultural awarness and embracing ourselves one zumba class at a time." Project Aleks helps young women embrace their culture and their body, and it is both a local and national movement.
