Engineer Vision

The phenomena that occurs when a male engineer is forced to look at below average women for extended periods of time. The regular scale that is applied to women is generally multiplied by .7 to receive their actual rating.

Engineer 1: "Hey man look at the fox, she's a total ten!"

Engineer 2: "Ya she gives me one hard renob."

Regular Person: "Boys she's a generous six; quit looking through your Engineer Vision."

The augmented perception of reality developed when young men go to an engineering school which is essentially all male. After several years in such a state, any woman becomes better looking. Therefore, a three may end up looking like a seven or eight to a junior in engineering.

Engineman

The US Navy's whisperer of all internal combustion engines whether it be gasoline or diesel powered. Often referred to as a snipe or Motorhead, they can be found in the pits of the ship keeping the engines purring. Known to usually smell diesel fuel and lube oil, and be dirty there is nothing they can't fix. They are usually the first ones onboard and the last to get off, but can still drink more than any deck ape out there. Rarely seen unless on the smoke deck of a ship that doesn't allow smoking in enginerooms.

Sir, the port engine belching black smoke for some reason.

Call the engineman and let them handle it, it's not our problem.
